Parents,
I know with the implementation of virtual education, things can be strange and difficult. Please know that my main goal is to support you and your student as much as possible. If you have questions, suggestions, or even complaints, feel free to message me on CTLS, at [email protected], or call/text me at 770-337-2370.. I will help you as much as I possibly can.
Old Stuff :-)
Newsletters will go home on Thursday. Check your child's agenda daily and make sure they read at least 20 minutes a night. As always, call if you have any questions (770-337-2370),
Red Ribbon Week is next week (October 23-27), follow the schedule in the form I emailed you. Also, donate cans to the canned food drive. The final day for donations is Oct. 27th. November 2 is our PTSA night, the students will be performing, and Nov. 4 is Fall Movie Night.

Solar Eclipse (8-21-17)
Parents, students will not be allowed outside to witness the solar eclipse. You can check them out after 11:15 if you want them to see it. Their school day will still be counted after 11:15.
Picture Day is tomorrow (3/10/17) but the PTSA performance is tonight! Our students will be singing right after the meeting at 6:30...
Red Ribbon Week begins Monday. Still Elementary is celebrating Red Ribbon Week as a united stand for a healthy lifestyle and a stand against drug and alcohol use.
Let’s have some fun this week! We will have dress up spirit days and we will also have a door decorating contest.
Monday – Students receive a sticker and a bookmark to kick off RR Week
Tuesday – “Sock it to Drugs” – wear crazy socks!
Wednesday – Red Day – Wear red! Great day to wear your red Still shirt
Thursday – “Pushing BACK on bad habits!” – It’s backwards day!
Friday – “Teaming up for a healthy lifestyle” – wear your favorite team shirt
Healthy Tip of the Day (for the kids): It’s ok to say no. If someone asks you to do something that you know isn’t right – be strong and be brave! Say no! And…tell an adult
Conferences are coming up on the week of October 17th. Report Cards will be given then. And for something completely unrelated...... please tell your children to observe the changes with trees and day length this October.. :-)
We've had a great beginning! As always, if you have any concerns let me know. Also, I would like for the students to try a new learning website, Zearn. From home, you'll need this passcode: RC4G6B. The students will be given their own password and username. Let me know if you have any difficulties. :-)
Open House will be at 6:30 PM, Tuesday, August 9.

Welcome!! I'm looking forward to a great year... don't forget to pack a snack.... :-)
Encourage your students to participate in A.R. They need to average at least one book per week in which they score at least 80% on the comprehension quiz. If they read at least 9 books by the end of the nine weeks, they will be recognized and rewarded !!
Please remember to check and sign your child's agenda daily. Also, check every Thursday for a folder containing graded papers, notes, and their behavior form; then sign the graded papers and behavior sheets and return. If you have questions or concerns you can email me at [email protected], call me at (770-337-2370), or write a note in your child's agenda.
Also, don't forget you can access your childs AR results from home through Renaissance Place. This program will allow you to access your child's AR (Accelerated Reader) results from home.
